Manufactured homes are going to be the dominant new home category in the NFL this year, and many experts expect a lot of the activity in the market to be driven by this segment.
The industry has been trying to grow and diversify its homebuilding business since the 1990s, but the housing market has not seen a sustained upward movement since then.
The market is still very much in its infancy, however, and the most recent industry surveys suggest that manufactured home sales could be up by 3% this year.
The industry is expected to report a solid increase of 2.5 million new manufactured homes in 2019, and another 2.7 million in 2020.
The demand for manufactured homes is expected not only to be strong but to be up significantly from last year’s 2.1 million units, with new home sales expected to increase by 5.4% this season and by 6.1% in 2020, according to the National Association of Home Builders.
But the demand for new manufactured home homes is not likely to be enough to keep up with demand for traditional homes.
Homebuilders are going after this new market with a new strategy.
The company is now building a $5 billion new manufacturing facility in Detroit that will employ tens of thousands of workers and produce a variety of products, including prefabricated structures.
The Detroit facility will be built to create the first of three new manufacturing facilities in the U.S. to make products for the NFL.
The other two will be in California and North Carolina.
In addition, a new $2.5 billion facility will open in Detroit next year to create a production line for the National Football League’s team uniforms.
This new facility will build on the existing NFL facility, which is expected in 2021 to produce uniforms for the league for the first time.
There is a lot more that the NFL is doing in the manufacturing and homebuilding space than just buying and selling new homes, said Chris Trew, director of product strategy for the New York-based company.
The NFL is building an extensive research and development center to better understand and address the needs of this segment, he said.
In the future, Trew said, the NFL will also consider investing in research and technology to ensure that its products are made in the most environmentally-friendly manner possible.
The NFL, Tresco said, has been making great strides in the last 10 years in terms of homebuilding and home design, and he believes the league is poised to make even more progress in the coming years.
“I think there is a tremendous amount of interest in the industry from both players and fans,” Tresko said.
“They’re excited about it and they want to see it happen.”
